A great video and newsletter by Newsletter of the Campaign of Campaigns, with the links to our new feminist material: a feminist and decolonial satire on trade justice.

“Agatha Krispis in: The Merchant of Ideas”

by Las Reinas Chulas

Have you ever imagined a world untangled of trade agreements? What do gummy bear vitamins and GMOs have in common?

If you're ready to challenge the status quo and have some answers, check out the new feminist cabaret play by Las Reinas Chulas. This theatrical production aims to spark critical debates about trade dynamics, intellectual property, and their impact on people's well-being and the planet, all through satire and a feminist perspective from the Global South.

This theatrical production is designed to ignite critical debates on trade dynamics, intellectual property, and their impact on the well-being of people and the planet—all delivered through satire and a feminist lens from the Global South.

The virtual premiere of this feminist play took place on August 22, gathering activists from around the globe. After the screening, we heard the insightful reactions of Yoke Ling (Third World Network), followed by thoughtful comments from Jane Nalunga (SEATINI) and Emilia Reyes (Equidad de Género, Ciudadanía, Trabajo y Familia).

You won't want to miss it!

During the summer, we organized various screenings in spaces with academics and activists from different social movements. Through the artivism of this feminist play, we shared our demands to challenge the myths of intellectual property “rights,” trade secrets, and investor-state dispute settlements (ISDS).
