Dear Sustainable Development
Friends and Colleagues,
Hello, and many thanks to all
of you who commented on and contributed meaningful feedback on the
first drafts of A Pocket Guide to Environment and Sustainable
Development Governance – Third Edition and the Discussion
Paper to Inform the 2027 Review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, which
focused on the environmental SDGs.
Both documents were informed
by stakeholder consultations conducted by our delegation at the
Seventh Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7),
and produced by Stakeholder
Forum in partnership with the Civil Society Unit of
UNEP and with the support of the European Commission. Stakeholder
Forum is grateful for the support of both organisations and their
respective teams in the run-up to, during, and after UNEA 7.
The final versions of both
publications are now available on the special website portals created
for them. You'll see that the Discussion Paper to Inform the
2027 Review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the
Sustainable Development Goals has evolved into A Primer
for Stakeholders to Prepare for the 2027 Review of the SDGs,
a more fitting title now that it is informed by global stakeholders.
You'll also find both
documents available to download - including individual chapters
of the Pocket Guide as PDF files - and detailed summaries of
each of the eight environmental SDGs highlighted in the Primer.
Everything can be found by visiting their respective web portals via
the links just below.
