UNEA-7 CPR UNEP Inside UNEA   Latest news from the Governing Bodies of UNEP   6 December 2025     Look back at OECPR week     The Open-ended Committee of Permanent Representatives (OECPR) concluded its session on Friday, wrapping up a week of negotiations on draft resolutions and decisions for consideration and possible adoption by UNEA-7.    UNEP’s Inger Andersen urged attendees to “take inspiration from the green, beautiful nature that surrounds to continue to find common ground.”   While environmental challenges are global threats that demand global consensus, the Executive Director also pointed out on Friday that: “the solutions will be local – with cities and regions at the heart of action.”  See: photos from the Cities and Regions Summit.   See also: recaps from IISD Earth Negotiations Bulletin    Saturday and Sunday    The campus is busy all weekend with those taking part in the Global Major Groups and Stakeholders Forum.   All week, the Green Room is serving as a hub for civil society side events, thematic cluster events, bilateral meetings, and daily briefings, fostering the exchange of experiences and informal dialogue opportunities.    The Youth Environment Assembly will also reconvene, where delegates are expected to present a declaration.    Save time by picking up your badge over the weekend.
