Felix Dodds new website just launched - includes what i can offer in support of orgnizations wanting to engage in UN processes
A long-overdue overhaul of my website has been undertaken by the talented Chris Yale, who has been my web
designer and friend since 2008.
Over the years, I have been
involved in several initiatives in various locations. This new website brings
them together in one place.
First: What my consultancy offers to support the engagement and effectiveness of stakeholders in the UN processes. Stakeholders waste a considerable amount of money due to a lack of understanding of the UN body they aim to influence, as well as a lack of support for their staff to be effective within those institutions. My consultancy addresses this. Just out is my book, co-authored with Chris Spence, Environmental Lobbying at the United Nations, a must-read for anyone engaged in the multilateral process.
Second: There is now a link to my external
platforms, including my Blog, LinkedIn, X, and my Spotify channel. The Spotify
channel features podcasts based on my books, providing an additional way to
access information. In particular, I would like to draw your attention to the Vienna
Café collection, which comprises three, maybe four, books that tell the
story of sustainable development from the 1960s through to the adoption of the
Sustainable Development Goals. These books are:
Only
One Earth: The Long Road via Rio to Sustainable Development – written with Maurice Strong and Michael
Strauss
From
Rio+20 to the New Development Agenda: Building a Bridge to a Sustainable
Future, written with Jorge Laguna and Liz Thompson
Negotiating
the Sustainable Development Goals: A transformational agenda for an insecure
world, written with Ambassador David Donoghue, Jimena Leiva Roesch
I would add to that the more recent
"Heroes
of Environmental Diplomacy," written with Chris Spence, examines ten
different multilateral negotiations and the key players who contributed to
their success.
Third: I will be posting future events – the next one
planned will be for new delegates to a Climate Convention meeting and will take place in October, date to be confirmed.
