LOCAL GOVERNMENTS ACTING FOR SDGs

Dear colleagues,

Join us this September to celebrate the anniversary of Agenda 2030 by leading on SDG local action!

https://act4sdgs.org/

Local governments across the world have taken inspiration from Agenda 2030 for better service delivery in the post COVID 19 and recent economic crises.

SDGs are also contributing to plan strategically and integrate the different aspects of sustainable development.

Finally, Agenda 2030 is contributing to better communicate local action and generate a much-needed trust by citizens in their institutions.

United Cities and Local Governments and the UN SDG Action Campaign have jointly developed two videos that showcase how local governments are contributing to #FlipTheScript, changing narratives to provoke the change we need to achieve the SDGs in time.

The first one focuses on ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION and the second on INEQUALITIES AND TRUST

Local SDG action happens the whole year. But we invite local governments to organize local events, mobilize citizens and share your SDG story with the world.
