The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes multi-stakeholder partnerships as important vehicles for mobilizing and sharing knowledge, expertise, technologies, and financial resources to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in all countries, particularly developing countries.  Faced with the clear and present threat of climate change, concrete, realistic, and endurable partnerships are needed now to mitigate this pressing challenge.

Speakers will introduce The Partnership for Offshore Ocean Wave Power. Its goal is to identify the correct stakeholders, mechanisms, and funding sources required to develop and deploy a wave energy conversion system based on a technical breakthrough that makes it capable of delivering zero-emissions, utility-level, electrical power generation from ocean waves.
