Will the SDGs ensure gender equality for the Minions?

It is clear to me that one of the indicators of outcomes from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) being universal is that there will have to be some serious changes in the Minions.

Am I the only one who has noticed that nearly all the Minions are men. This will have to change as GOAL 5 of the SDGs explains that all countries need to "Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls"

With  in particular these associated relevant targets:
5.1 end all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere

5.4 recognize and value unpaid care and domestic work through the provision of public services, infrastructure and social protection policies, and the promotion of shared responsibility within the household and the family as nationally appropriate

5.5 ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life

By 2030 there will need to be changes. It is not all bad news there has been some recognition of transgender in the Minions with Stuart who is exploring his gender identity
I am hoping in the coming weeks that questions will be directed at Universal Pictures and
Illumination Entertainment and I can foresee demonstrations outside the launch of the new film on July 10th if it doesn't reflect the full diversity of Minions.

Meanwhile back to my Sunday morning......
